The product range

Available in many sizes, the pouches are suitable for use with small infants through to large post-operative wounds.

eakin Wound PouchTM Key Features

Any moisture in prolonged contact with the skin will weaken tissue and impair the skin’s barrier function, which may result in maceration.

The eakin Cohesive® baseplate is highly absorbent and occlusive which prevents moisture and irritants from
penetrating and coming into contact with the skin12,16 helping protect against Moisture Associated Skin Damage (MASD).12-15

A 40-year proven track record of skin friendliness due to only a handful of ingredients and no confirmed reported allergic reactions.

eakin Cohesive® baseplates are also highly mouldable13 which helps ensure a secure fit regardless of wound site shape.

Access Windows can be applied to all but the smallest of our eakin Wound Pouches™.

Allowing instant access to the wound for inspecting or irrigating without having to remove the entire Pouch.2

Access Windows could prolong the lifetime of the pouch and save valuable time in dressing changes and increasing patient comfort.

The bung allows connection to continuous drainage and the fold-up outlet could be helpful for thick exudate, small volumes or for locations on the body where a bung may cause irritation.

15 variations of product.

Including 8 different shapes of baseplate.

Two different outlet solutions.

Multiple possibilities for placing the eakin Wound Pouch at an angle to optimise draining.

Where eakin Wound PouchesTM can be used on the body

It is well known that eakin Wound PouchesTM are ideal for abdominal wounds and fistulas of all sizes.

However, there are many other wound sites around the body for which an eakin Wound PouchTM may be a suitable dressing. The uses are not restricted to the examples shown.

These diagrams represent possible eakin Wound Management products for different types of injury/surgical procedure/fistula/etc.
