Ostomy Pouches

Urostomy

People with a urostomy will normally use a pouch with a tap or a bung.

A 1-piece system means the baseplate (the part that sticks to your skin) is joined to the pouch, resulting in a secure and comfortable user experience. In a convex system the flange is designed to gently push the skin around your stoma back slightly to help the stoma protrude slightly into the pouch. Use of a convex flange is always recommended by a stoma nurse. The goal of a 1-piece system is simplicity with a discreet profile.
