This case study looks at Urostomy management and how maintaining a leakproof appliance is greatly enhanced by the use of Eakin Cohesive® seals.

The application of an Eakin Cohesive® Seal to clean and dry skin, under either a one or two piece urostomy appliance is an effective management strategy for the client with an ileal conduit.
Stents usually remain insitu for 7-10 days however pre operative radiotherapy increases this and they may be left for 2-3 weeks. Clients discharged from hospital with stents insitu will benefit from extra wear time resulting from the use of an Eakin Cohesive® Seal.
