Case Details
Below is a picture of Pelican Pouches in action. The result is a very happy patient who can see his stoma while he learns to fit his appliance and then cover it over thanks to the split backing feature on the pouch. The patient trusts the Pouch and is confident that it will remain securely fixed.
This is a perfect pouch with which to teach patients and is easy for all patients to use. The soft convexity provides security from leaks for a very flat, new ileostomy, yet is gentle on the muco cutaneous junction.
